Ranna’s Silence to be screened in India

TEHRAN, Jan. 04 (MNA) – Iranian feature film Ranna’s Silence, directed by Behzad Rafi’ee will be screened at the 13th Chennai International Film Festival.

An Art Center production, the Iranian flick has so far bagged several awards at different international festivals.

It attended the 2015 edition of Sharjah International Children's Film Festival in the UAE as well as the 22nd Düsseldorf Children’s Film Festival–KinderKinoFest (KiKiFe) in Germany where it won the festival’s top award.

The film tells the story of a seven-year-old girl, Ranna, and her hen, Kakoli which is hunted on a rainy day by a jackal.

The 13th Chennai International Film Festival is slated for January 6-13. The festival was postponed for a month due to the floods.
